Grapes: Nerello Mascalese

Tasting Notes: Nerello Mascalese is a native grape variety of great historical and cultural importance to Sicilian viticulture. Its name, "Nerello," derives from the intense, dark color of its skin. A symbol of centuries-old tradition, this grape expresses the soul of a land rich in sun and history.

A captivating, slightly garnet red color shines in the glass. Its bouquet is rich and enveloping, characterized by intense notes of cherries preserved in alcohol, raspberries, and ripe black cherries, complemented by an intriguing complexity of smoky notes, white pepper, and spices. On the palate, it stands out for its ample, extremely persuasive structure and pleasant drinkability.

An ideal companion to rich first courses, elaborate red meats and mature cheeses served with fruit mustards.
