Etna Rosso Gioacchino
Azienda Agricola Sofia presents La Vigna di Gioacchino Rosso, an Etna Rosso DOC made from 100% Nerello Mascalese grapes. This Sicilian red wine hails from the northern slopes of Mount Etna, an area renowned for its high-quality viticulture. With an alcohol content of 13.5%, this wine stands out for its organic and artisanal character, perfectly expressing the unique characteristics of its volcanic terroir. Fermentation is spontaneous, initiated with indigenous yeasts, and the must is macerated on the skins for approximately 12 days without temperature control, with one or two pumpings over per day. After fermentation, the wine ages for 11 months in concrete tanks, a method that helps preserve the purity and integrity of the fruit. On the palate, La Vigna di Gioacchino Rosso offers notes of red grapes and pairs perfectly with aged cheeses. The ideal serving temperature is between 14 and 18°C, allowing its aromatic and flavorful nuances to be fully appreciated. This Etna Rosso represents an authentic expression of the Sicilian terroir, with particular attention to sustainability and winemaking tradition.
